The batteries are automatically fed onto a conveyor belt. A pushing device then automatically transfers them into a feeding mechanism, which carries the batteries to the CCD inspection station for core winding hole detection. After inspection, the batteries are automatically transferred to the next station for automatic needle insertion and bottom spot welding.

Upon completion of welding, the batteries are automatically advanced to the cold solder joint inspection station. After this check, they proceed to the automatic face pad application station. Once the pad is applied, the batteries move to the next station to verify the presence of the face pad. Following this inspection, they enter the automatic defect rejection station, where units with defective core holes, face pads, or welds are automatically removed.

Qualified batteries automatically flow into the feed chute of the grooving mechanism. A feeding device then positions each battery beneath the upper push rod of the grooving station. The battery is centered within the drive section by the upper and side push rods. The upper push rod, actuated by a compression cylinder, precisely presses the battery into the positioning mold while applying a specific pressure. The positioning mold rotates at high speed, driven by a motor.

The grooving feed mechanism, powered by its motor and cam, performs the grooving operation. After grooving is complete, the battery is automatically pushed to the next station for dust extraction. Once dust removal is finished, a pusher ejects the battery into the discharge chute for automatic output. The outlet is designed to connect directly to the feeding chute of an automatic cap welding machine.
